Handmade in Italy since 1930
Ortigni is an Italian shoe manufacturer based in the small town of Pistoria just outside Florence. The company is renowned for making some of the best shoes in Italy, ever since they started back in 1930.
Each pair is handcrafted with the utmost attention to detail, using only the finest leather, perfected by skilled craftsmen with decades of experience. All shoes are made to the highest technical standard, namely with Goodyear welting, which enables the shoes to be built to pass the test of time.
Goodyear welt construction involves stitching a welt to the upper and a strip of canvas to the insole as an attach-point for the sole. The space enclosed by the welt is then filled with cork, and the sole is both cemented and stitched to the welt.
At Baltzar, we offer Ortigni shoes in both calf leather and suede.
